Free support and coaching for charities and small organisations

An organisation called Beyond has just launched its support offer for 2021.

Beyond is a free programme of design and digital training to help nonprofits adapt and respond in times of crisis. The programme is available to all nonprofits in England. It also provides four sectors working with those hardest hit by Covid-19 access to coaching from experienced practitioners and additional sector-specific training. Those are financial wellbeing, early years, mental health and sexual & domestic violence.

Early Years – for organisations working with parents and families, with children from pregnancy to age 5. 

Financial wellbeing – for organisations working with people experiencing or at risk of financial insecurity. 

Mental Health – for organisations working with people who have lived experiences of mental health. 

Sexual & Domestic Abuse – for organisations working with people who are experiencing sexual abuse, domestic violence, violence against women and girls, and those working with perpetrators to reduce risks to survivors.

Practical training to help you boost your skills and adapt your services in times of crisis. 

Beyond offers practical training to help adapt your services and know what to do next with digital. Courses are designed modularly so you can choose how much time to commit. All free for nonprofits in England working with communities affected by Covid-19.

Design thinking in times of crisis

Starts 2 Feb 2021 | 5 modules over 5 weeks | 1 hour each | Attend all or dip in

Learn how to find, prioritise and test new solutions to tricky problems, fast. This course is ideal for people in charge of service delivery and improvements.

Developing a digital approach

Starts 3 Feb 2021 | 4 modules over 8 weeks | 2 hours each | Full course

Learn how to review and adapt the digital and technology landscape of your organisation to better fit your needs now and in the future. This course is aimed at small charities who don’t have access to digital and technology expertise.

Digital Product Management

Develop a clear plan for implementing a new digital product or service within your organisation. This course is ideal for people working on digital programmes or services within small and medium sized charities.

Huddles

They are also running ‘huddles’ which are small group sessions of expert training and coaching. Huddles are a chance to work through current challenges, and learn new problem solving techniques with peers. We’re offering £500 of financial support to small orgs to take part, and it’s free for others. The deadline to sign up is Weds 27th January.

They are curated by sector (Early Years, Financial Wellbeing, Mental Health and Sexual & Domestic Violence) for those working with some of the communities hardest hit by COVID19.

Huddles follow a 5-part design thinking course; with one hour training and 90 minute group session a week. They are a chance to share, learn, connect and go deeper with your learning.
