We are very lucky in Cornwall to have a wide range of green and blue spaces for families to connect with nature. Research tells us that being outdoors, and in these green and blue spaces reduces stress and sadness, lifts the mood and makes us feel better. Overall health, sleep patterns and anxiety conditions can be improved by getting outside. We believe that this summer this is more important than ever.

Fancy a breath of fresh air?

Partners from Together for Families present Summer Sessions. Why not try canoeing, archery, climbing or cycling? Or take some time to relax and explore rockpools, moorlands, or one of our beautiful coastal paths. This is an opportunity to challenge yourself to learn new skills and achieve things you didn’t you could.

Being outside feels good. Being surrounded by nature and sharing it with those closest to us helps us to stay positive. We also feel connected and maintain good physical health and wellbeing.

Join us this summer to get active, have some fun, shake off the lockdown blues and get sparkling!

NOTE: The programme is constantly developing, and we will be adding new activities and information regularly. So, watch this space!


All activities will be carried out in line with DfE guidance and that of the National Youth Agency

Covid-19 specific measures will include;

  • Covid-19 risk assessment of centre and activities
  • Medical consent form to include information on symptoms of Covid-19 and declaration of good health
  • Daily briefing to Young People on social distancing, sanitising  and activity procedures
  • Regular cleaning of activity equipment

There are some funded places available across all activities.
