We are a group of volunteers raising awareness of the Peace Education Program (PEP) in Cornwall. This is an innovative self-improvement course with a proven record of success around the world in 84 countries and in 36 languages. We work in association with Peace Partners, UK Registered Charity 1166456, and TPRF non-profit foundation.
The Peace Education Program was developed by TPRF and first used in High Security Prisons. It has since evolved and is now used in a wide range of settings across the community. The PEP is based on universal human principles, such as equality, respect, dignity. By developing and empowering people, the PEP can support organisations to enhance the wellbeing of their staff and/or service users and enable individuals to discover their true potential. The customised, interactive workshops are non-religious and non-sectarian.
The course of workshops has a well-devised curriculum, quality supporting materials and clearly stated expected outcomes. It has been endorsed and evaluated with very positive results. It offers a series of one hour multi-media sessions, generally over ten weeks. Each session focusses on helping participants discover their own inner resources, such as Inner Strength, Clarity, Choice and Hope, one theme at a time. It enables people facing challenges in their lives, to accommodate or overcome them, as well as increasing their understanding and appreciation of their own life, and of others.
Supported by world-wide voluntary effort, the course is FREE. Local volunteers can arrange and deliver the course for organisations, or can assist them to do their own.
