CLEAR, the Cornwall based charity that is supports people of all ages impacted by abuse and emotional trauma, has announced that applications are now open for their latest Level 5 Diploma in Working Therapeutically with Children & Young People.
The fully accredited post qualifying Level 5 Diploma provides specialist training for practitioners interested in working with children and young people. The 18 month course combines both practical and theoretical training together with clinical placements and group supervision. Sessions and lectures will take place one weekend a month starting with a residential weekend from 12th to 14th November 2021 and ending with a clinical placement with CLEAR.
The core modules include child development, therapeutic approaches, safe clinical practice and working with children and young people who have experienced or witnessed abuse.

It has been accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body and is the first and only course of its kind available in Cornwall.”
The Diploma is part of the CLEAR Centre of Excellence, that complements the charity’s counselling, therapy and preventative services, bringing together learning, research, evaluation, resources and continuous professional development.
