A survey on workplace bullying in the charity sector is being conducted by the Centre for Mental Health in partnership with ACEVO, the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations. It is intended to help understand the conditions in which bullying can take place in the charity sector, its effects on individuals and how and why bullying might continue unchecked in organisations.
It is open to employees and volunteers working in registered charities in England and Wales, who have experienced bullying in their organisation in the last 5 years.
Findings and data from the survey will be collated by researchers to help identify what should be the role of leaders in the sector to create safer working cultures, both for staff and for the users of services.
