Atlantic and Moor

 

The Learning Partnership for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly has received £2.89m of European Social Funding from the Big Lottery Building Better Opportunities project to help people in the Atlantic and Moor area improve their employability skills and progression into employment. The investment is part of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Growth Programme.

The project, which is called ‘Working Together’, aims to help tackle the poverty and social exclusion faced by the most disadvantaged people.The project will focus on the North coast of Cornwall and Bodmin Moor area. Eligible people must be 18 years or over and either unemployed and economically inactive.

Participants of the project can expect support from one or more of the 56 partners, including Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum, who bring a huge wealth of experience and expertise and are aiming to support 750 people over the next three years. This will be delivered through a variety of workshops and one-to-one support tailored to meet the needs of the individual.

The Learning Partnership is a specialist in delivering ESF projects, having supported over 30,000 people through the previous programme of EU-funded projects. Participants can expect a supportive and nurturing environment, enriched with a challenging, inspiring and fun activities including sport and forest school.
