Are you an experienced nature conservation and countryside worker with the people skills to organise and run volunteering tasks and engage the public?
The Gaia Trust Charity is recruiting for a part time Site Ranger at its Treraven Farm Nature Reserve near Wadebridge. The post can be employed or arranged as a self-employed contract beginning in January 2018.
The Gaia Trust’s mission is “Farming for people and wildlife” and, through our countryside properties, we work to be an exemplar for sustainable and socially responsible farming practice, for environmentally responsible stewardship of our properties and for the quality of our public engagement programmes.

The main responsibilities of the job would be:
a) Co-ordinate, monitor and facilitate countryside management volunteering tasks at the site,
b) Co-ordinate, monitor, deliver and facilitate community engagement and education events at the site
c) Countryside Stewardship monitoring and reporting, liaison with tenant(s), dealing with day-to-day issues reactively and proactively
d) Partnership building and generally generating public support and local profile for the site
e) Reporting to Trustees, invoicing and training
