Barnardo’s, in partnership with the Department for Education (DfE) will be delivering a new programme across England, in response to the pandemic, co-ordinating a dynamic sector response.
The programme aims to find the most vulnerable children and young people who are not currently receiving support from statutory organisations, and those who are at risk and/or experiencing adverse impact on their emotional health and wellbeing. Particularly:
- Children under 5’s with specific focus on under 2’s
- Those with SEND who have other associated harms such as exploitation
- Children out of the home at risk of criminal and sexual exploitation (working in outreach detached settings)
- BAMER children who are not being seen or reached
- Young carers
Barnardo’s are seeking local delivery partners through an expression of interest and selection process, with a deadline of 30 June. The programme will run to 31 October.
The full delivery information, including the delivery model, targets, and how partners will be selected, is on this document: See Hear Respond – Supporting Information (Local Partners)
