The latest Safer Cornwall newsletter is now available. Safer Cornwall is the statutory community safety partnership for Cornwall. It focuses on preventing and reducing crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour, and also gives a wide range of safety advice.

In this month’s newsletter, there’s more information on the following:

  • The Police and Crime Commissioners, the Police service and NHS England are working together to plan and buy Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) services in the South West of England.
  • The inspirational work of two members of Cornwall Council’s Community Safety Team in supporting people with drug and alcohol problems and victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence have been recognised with the award of MBEs.
  • 1 in 3 overdose deaths in Europe occur in the UK According to a new report, Britain has the highest proportion of reported drug overdose deaths across Europe.
