The Department for Health and Social care has launched a national recruitment campaign called ‘Every day is different’. Their website has a quiz that could show if a person would suit a caring role, and examines different jobs in the sector. You can find out more on the website, and take part in the promotion campaign via their Twitter. @DHSCgovuk .
There has been a similar campaign running in Cornwall recently, called Proud to Care work in Cornwall. This is part of the wider Proud to Care South West. You can see more about this also on Twitter @ProudToCareCorn.
REACH Cornwall is a new, employer-led initiative for the social care and health sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We believe those working in this sector do an amazing job. However, there are simply not enough people, with the right skills, to meet the ever-growing need for these services. Their mission is to Raise Excellence and Aspiration in Care and Health across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. You can find out more on their website, including reading about the ESF funded project they are undertaking.
They will be presenting an update to the project at the Care Conference Cornwall on Thursday 21 February, at the Tregenna Castle resort, St Ives. You can book your place there via Eventbrite, for £52,83.
