Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service is running a 12-week Team programme, with The Prince’s Trust. The Team programme is for young people aged 16-25 who are unemployed, or out of education and training, enabling them to move into employment, education, training, volunteering or apprenticeships.
Young people get involved in team building activities, a week-long residential trip, a community project and two weeks of work experience during the course. They also get advice on writing CVs as well as gaining nationally recognised qualifications. To refer a young person or to find out more visit the Phoenix website.
The course is free, and will not affect receipt of Jobseekers Allowance.
The next course is running from 18 February, with a taster day on 13 February at Truro College from 10am.
