Kernow Carers – we support young carers (under the age of 18) and young adult carers (aged 16 – 25). The aim of the service is to make the caring role a more positive experience by offering support, information & guidance, activities/trips, school/college groups, short breaks, forums.
Together for Families – FIP works on the basis of voluntary engagement with families and undertakes a range of interventions and methods of support, including practical support in line with the needs, risks and strengths of the individual family. Together for Families criteria needs to be met before any work can be undertaken.
Cornwall SPACE – offering short breaks in the school holidays and youth groups for disabled children and young people aged 5 – 25 in Cornwall. We offer disabled children and young people exciting new activities to try and the opportunity to make new friends, while providing families with an all important short break. Children and young people are able to access this service if they have one of the following:
- A statement of educational need, band 1 – 3 • An education, health and care plan • or a learning disability as defined by the Equalities Act 2010 – a child or young person that has a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ negative effect on their ability to do normal daily activities.
