NPC is holding a webinar entitled “What does the climate crisis mean for social charities and funders?”
It will be on 2 July, from 9-10.30am.
Climate change is having a significant impact on our communities and many of the people that our social charities and funders work with and for. Its impacts, like more regular flooding and heatwaves, will affect some of the most vulnerable in society. And the policies that government pursues to cut our carbon emissions could benefit some in society, whilst leaving others behind.
This online event will explore how the changing climate, and the policies that are needed to cut our emissions, could adversely affect the people that social charities and funders work with and for.
The event will be chaired by Peter Wheeler, Trustee of NPC and formerly of the Nature Conservancy. Speakers will include Karla Hill, former Global Programmes Counsel at Client Earth, and Dhara Vyas, Head of Future Energy Services atCitizens Advice.
