BF Adventure are in a public vote to receive funding from The People’s Projects.org, to expand their work with disabled children and young people, and their families. The project will enable them to take part in adventurous activities including paddle sports, problem solving, rock climbing, zip lining, archery, abseiling, and forest work. It aims to to help people build resilience, determination, communication skills and confidence.
The funding bid is for £41,927, and is one of only 2 projects in Cornwall in the running. (For the purposes of fairness, the other is St Agnes Surf Lifesaving Club’s Safer beaches for All project.)
Funding is awarded based on the number of votes they receive, with 95 organisations competing for up to £3m across the UK. This is part of the National Lottery funding.
To vote, visit The People’s Projects website. You can vote once per project per region and voting closes at 12pm on Monday 30 April. Your vote won’t be counted until you click the link in the confirmation email you will be sent.
