The government is currently consulting on its approach to procurement, and has issued a Green Paper.
The Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales is convening a discussion to formulate a sector response to it. You are invited to join members of the #nevermoreneeded campaign: Children England, Clinks, Locality, NAVCA, NCVO and Lloyds Bank Foundation and more, to hear about the proposals, and talk about how we can ensure the government’s new approach to procurement works for charities and those they support.
Online event, 25 February, 2.30-4pm, free
For many years, the voluntary sector working in criminal justice has been facing challenges in commissioning and procurement, with too many vital services undermined by competitive tendering that has seen large scale contracts awarded to the lowest bidder. It is therefore vital that the needs and experiences of this sector are represented in the consultation. Your input at the event will help to inform the Clinks response.
Who should attend?
Anyone working in or with charities involved in public service delivery who is wiling to discuss how commissioning and procurement could be improved.
You don’t need to have read the full Procurement Green Paper – we will explain the key points at the meeting and then discuss our response.
