The Advocacy People can offer training to peer support groups to provide to provide Peer Advocacy, supporting them to maintain the boundaries required by advocacy. These training sessions last a day and include a workbook. Our aim is to support people to self-advocate, learning lifelong skills to empower and build confidence in themselves.
As part of the Community Advocacy contract we are also providing training to partners, organisations, clients and their family and friends.
The Advocacy People are commissioned to provide all statutory advocacy – Mental Health, Mental Capacity, Health Complaints and Care Act. We are also commissioned to provide Community Advocacy and specialist advocacy. Specialisms include Appropriate Adult service, Parents of Children going through Child Protection Procedures and Serious Case reviews.
