The Who Dares Works course, run by military veterans through Active Plus, will be starting a new course soon, in Penzance, at the YMCA.
The 6-week course is aimed at people aged 18+, who are not working and are in need of some extra help to get into work, training or education. The course will help build confidence, and attendees will be paired up with a mentor for ongoing support. Specialist help is also available, including for dyslexia, mental health, substance misuse, learning disabilities, health issues, and also childcare.
The course can lead to a variety of positive directions, including Who Dares Cares and Who Dares Repairs.
For more information, contact Active Plus on 01872 300 236 or email@example.com.
The course will run at the YMCA in Penzance, from Thursday 21 June, 9.30-12.30.
Active Plus are also running a taster session in the Lescudjack Centre on Wsednesday 20 June, 1.30-3.30pm.
This is aimed at people working with those who might be interested in attending the course. They will meet current participants, delivery partners and have a go themselves at some of the activities that are part of the course.
Refreshments are available, and people are welcome to drop in, to find out more about the support that is available to people in the Penzance area, and contribute their thoughts to future plans.
