The following groups have approached us to promote their volunteer vacancies

Action on Hearing Loss

For Wadebridge and St Austell areas, as part of a new 5 year project to develop information and support hubs within local communities, focusing on hearing loss, deafness and tinnitus.

One of the key aims of the project is to improve connections individuals have with their community through volunteering, so it is a great opportunity for those needing a way of becoming more included in their local community and make their area more hearing loss friendly.

Falmouth and Penryn Dementia Action Alliance

A person or people are required to take over as co-ordinators for this local group, as the current leaders have moved away.

First Light

First Light are holding a volunteer recruitment day on 22 November, seeking individuals who have 5 or more hours to spare per week to work in support of their vision of a world where everyone lives in safety, free from violence and abuse. Volunteer roles include responding to individuals who contact the Risk Evaluation and Co-ordination Hub (REACH) and supporting the Administration and data team.

There is a 6-week training package and regular supervision, together with the chance to be part of a valued team. The recruitment day is a drop-in session, at Uneeka Life, 5 Boscawen Street, Truro, between 10.30 and 12..30, and again between 1.30 and 3.30 on Wednesday 22 November.
