Two local towns are organising community spring-cleans, so if you’re near there, mark the date, and dig out your rubber gloves and buckets! If you’re not near there, try the Surfers Against Sewage website for information about beach cleans, across the whole of the UK.
Saturday 13 April – Liskeard Spring Clean – from 10am starting at the Scout Hut in Castle Park. Wear sensible clothing, and bring gardening gloves if you have them. Other equipment will be provided, along with refreshments.
Saturday 20 April – Callington Litter-Pick – from 10am starting at St Mary’s Square. Wear sensible clothing, but equipment will be provided, along with pasties and hot drinks at the town hall afterwards!
Surfers Against Sewage are organising a nation-wide beach clean for the spring, with activities happening on beaches around Cornwall and across the whole of the UK. You can read all about it on the SAS website, and find your nearest. There is something happening on every day of the Easter Holidays at some location around the Cornish coast.
**Extra edit – There will also be a Litter Pick and Easter Event on Thursday 18 April on Malabar, organised by the NCBA. From 10.30-2.30.
