Pluss Social Prescribing are holding a Connecting Communities event in Falmouth on Thursday 16 May, between 10am and 4pm, to launch their new Social Prescribing Service.
The day will provide an opportunity for the local community and stakeholders to find out what is on offer in the Falmouth and Penryn area to support health and wellbeing and encourage people to engage with their community. Throughout the day there will be a range of sessions and activities to have a go and try out some of the offers from local groups ranging from low impact fitness sessions, family activities, community coffee mornings, volunteering opportunities, art and holistic therapies and much more. There is something for everyone.
The day is going to be vibrant with Swamp Circus providing a chance to try out new skills, hoola hooping, flash mobs and singing.
Guests on the day can receive a community connect card which allows them to access offers and discounts to support their health and wellbeing in the local area.
We’ll be on the Moor in Falmouth with a stall (it’s market day) and in the Library and Methodist Church – all on the Moor. Activities will also be happening elsewhere in Falmouth so come along on the 16 May, it’s set to be a great day.
