The Cornish Christmas Giving catalogue is now available for 2017, allowing gift-givers to donate to a local charity.
The idea is to support local charities, and avoid giving un-wanted gifts at Christmas.
Purchasers choose your charity or charities from the catalogue, decide how much they would to donate, then make the payment. They then receive a gift certificate, giving the amount donated, the cause that’s being supported, and if appropriate, the item or items being funded.
Charities benefiting from the scheme this year include those benefiting homeless people, mental health initiatives, supported housing, help for people with a history of substance misuse, a befriending service, refugee resettlement, community football, and many others. There are twenty projects in all, and gifts pay for a huge variety of itmes of use to the projects.
For more information, visit the Truro Diocese website to download your catalogue.
Orders placed before 22 December will be processed by Christmas. Orders requiring a paper certificate should be placed before 15 December.
