Food for Change are organising workshops in St Austell, Newquay, Truro, Camborne and Redruth to support people to grow, cook and trade food, gaining practical skills and knowledge to help them get into work, or for personal support.
These workshops are free, and run for 6 sessions. These are normally held on six consecutive weeks, between 10 am and 3pm, but this can be varied to suit the people attending, if necessary. The organisers are hoping to get the initial courses running in mid-late September, and then have a rolling programme running through into next year.
The courses are designed to help disadvantaged people who are currently out of work, including single parents and people with disabilities.
