The Eden Project’s winter programme has been launched, with Ice Skating starting from 12 October. There are toddler and family sessions available, with push-along support penguins for tots, and larger snowman supports for bigger children or those with other accessibility needs. Manual wheelchairs are possible to use (bring your own, or borrow one of theirs) and the pusher gets to skate for free – call the skating office to organise this – 01726 811972.
Their October Half Term event, Halloweden, features mythical creatures in spooky forests, with a petting zoo full of strange creatures, potion making, pumpkin carving, and owl encounters. Booking will open soon for ‘relaxed sessions‘ which are more suitable for people with autism, sensory or communication needs, or learning disabilities, on Sunday 20 and Wednesday 23 October, from 8.30am.
And finally, Father Christmas is once again visiting Eden. Slots to visit him can be booked (already !) online. These are from 30 November, usually Friday, Saturday & Sunday, until the end of term on Wednesday 18 December. Relaxed sessions are also available here too.
Given the current situation around the Corona virus, please check with individual organisers regarding events listed in these pages, to ensure that they are going ahead, before you travel.
Also, please bear in mind the advice not to attend if you feel unwell, or have a temperature, or have been in contact with anyone with the virus.
