Make it better CIC is offering 8-week Smartphone photography courses, in Falmouth and near St Austell at Treverbyn Hall.
The Council Chamber, Municipal Building, The Moor, Falmouth – Fridays from 7 January, 10.30-12.30.
Treverbyn Hall, Stenalees – Fridays from 15 January, 2-4pm.
Cost £24 per person.
Participants familiarise themselves with smart technology whilst learning to compose and take photographs. They also develop post production skills adjusting photographs using phone apps. The projects are designed to enable participants to connect with the local community and tell their story. Together participants edit their work for display at a community event.
Participants are also able to join in with the monthly Make it Better (Mitber) CIC photo challenge on Mitber’s online forum.

Both these courses are designed to be beneficial for people at risk of suicide, and can be obtained for free for these people via social prescribing. Mitber have produced an info sheet for professionals explaining the course from that perspective. sp smartphone overview for professionals. For these individuals, the courses initially run at 10.30-12.30, for 4 weeks, before merging with the others in their location for the remaining 4 weeks of the course.
