The Government is calling for interested parties to get involved with their programme to improve safety for cyclists and walkers, and increase participation.
Specifically, the consultation invites those with an interest in improving safety of cyclists and pedestrians to provide evidence, drawing on experience from the UK or other countries, that can be used to shape future policy decisions.
The particular groups that the Government is interested in hearing from include:
Local, regional and national transport bodies
Cycling and walking organisations
Organisations representing other road users
Road Safety professionals, researchers and academics
Community health bodies
Approved Driving Instructors
Teachers and schools
People who cycle regularly, whether for leisure, work or commuting
People who would like to cycle or walk more
The web page detailing the consultation includes a link to a series of factsheets detailing road safety information relating to specific groups of road-users, which may be of interest to safety groups, or others working with children, young drivers, cyclists and motorcyclists as well.
You can take part via the Gov.uk website. This consultation closes on 1 June 2018.
