The January meeting of the Cornwall Independent Poverty Forum will be tomorrow, January 5, at 2pm, via Zoom.
Please register here to receive the link to the meeting.
Subsequent meetings will be on 2 February and 2 March, also via Zoom.
An agenda item has been added, to create a Community Manifesto, initially as a contribution to the forthcoming Council Elections but also to generate a much wider conversation. We hope the ‘manifesto’ will act in a way similar to a Citizens Panel.
The plan is for the manifesto to operate on three levels:
Front page – A list of the themes and an accompanying brief vision statement for each theme
Next level – A set of examples of good practise of work in each area mainly within Cornwall but also from elsewhere. Images to be used to draw people in to these examples.
Third level – A number of Practical proposals outlined in details, with costings where appropriate, related to the various themes.
The hope is the manifesto will be an interactive set of documents and will as much as possible be an opportunity for an expression of diverse voices from across the whole of Cornwall.
The next task is to finalise the themes and vision statements and this will be on the Agenda for the Poverty Forum meeting above.
