Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum is working in partnership with St Austell Bay Economic Forum (SABEF)  to bring together organisations and individuals that are already doing excellent work in your local community.  We know that by working together we stand a better chance of achieving and sustaining the changes we all seek. We believe that grassroots initiatives always stand a greater chance of making an impact than top-down campaigns imposed by others.

We hope that by helping to bring you together to exchange ideas and information we can enhance social action to the benefit of your local area. You know the strengths and assets of your community better than we do, and we want to help you explore the challenges and investigate solutions.

We would therefore like to invite representatives of local organisations to a FREE workshop on May 14, where we will work with you to explore these important issues. Our aim is to grow local capacity to act, and work with you as equals. Anyone who carries out voluntary work in the St Austell and surrounding villages is welcome to attend, together with public sector staff, faith groups, and other interested organisations and individuals.

The outcomes of this workshop will feed into discussions we are having with St Austell Bay Economic Forum (SABEF)  and other local community groups. With our expertise, and your ideas, we hope to source funding and training for you to take positive action on the ground and develop any solutions that come out of this workshop.

The event will be held locally and run from 9.30am to 2.30pm,  and there will be the opportunity to network over lunch. Please book your ticket on our Events page.
