The Association of Chairs in running the Beacon Programme, offering support to Chairs and Vice Chairs of small organisations, and still has spaces on a workshop coming up on 11 April.
Entitled ‘ Strengthening Your Organisation’ organisers say:
Come along to this second Beacon workshop in St Austell which aims to provide you with the knowledge and tools to ensure your charity has the strategy, resources and processes to succeed. This workshop will help you to be clear about what needs to be in place and ensure that it happens. It will support you to identify the boundaries between planning and overseeing the work and the separate task of carrying it out. You will have the opportunity to share learning and sources of support with Chairs of other smaller organisations.
This workshop is only open to those who have registered with the Beacon Programme. If you are the Chair or Vice Chair of a smaller charity in England with an annual income of under £1 million, please join the programme and then book your place.
The event costs £20, and the venue details will be given on booking confirmation. It will be in the St Austell area, from 10am-2.15pm.
The third in the Beacon series will be held in Bodmin later in the year, and will look at board relationships and relationships with the CEO/staff.
