Cheap internet connectivity

BT Basic +Broadband offers a very limited broadband access (15gb per month) for £10.07 per month, which includes line rental.

This is for people who are eligible to get BT Basic lines, ie in receipt of benefits, including Universal Credit & pensions credit.

Other offers from other providers, although not so cheap, can be found here – on the Broadband Choices website.

Donating your unwanted laptops or tablets

People have asked us about how they can donate unwanted tablets or laptops that are still in good condition, so that children can use them for online school. At present, we know of two schemes that can take donations:

Business2Schools acts as a clearing house, linking schools with donors. At present there are NO SCHOOLS IN CORNWALL registered with their website, so please encourage your favourite local school to register, and then you will be able to donate direct to the school. The schools clean the devices, and supply them to children who need them.

Vodaphone Tech Appeal will send you a postage paid envelope to post them your tech device, which they will clean and send on to charity partners, including Barnardo’s, to pass on to families who are in need.
