Creative Skills 2
Closing date 11 March
The funding comes from the European Social Fund and forms part of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Growth Programme which aims to deliver inclusive economic regeneration for the region from 2014-2020.
The Creative Skills programme will be central to the promotion and development of the creative industries as a growing and innovative sector, through the alignment of industry needs with the skills development needs of the workforce and the enhanced relevance and capacity of sector specific education and skills provision. This approach to ‘business, careers and skills’ will enable local employers to be more involved in designing, delivering and enhancing the skills for their workforce.
Support will be focused on micro, small and medium sized businesses, which form the majority of businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and includes social enterprises. Key features of the project will be the development of employer consortia, apprenticeship and placements, test beds projects in the more remote parts of the region to address gaps in the market, greater alignment of education and skills provision with the training and development needs of the sector, employers, and the wider economy.
