Cornwall Council’s Autism Spectrum Team, in partnership with Cornwall Sports Partnership are working to make leisure centres more friendly places for young people with autism. This includes training for staff, and communication passports for young people, to include information for staff around how best to support that person.
Leisure centres in Bodmin and St Austell are beginning their staff training this month, with others to follow next year.
You can read the full press release on the Council’s website.
