Food sharing app
Too Good To Go is a food sharing app that aims to ensure that surplus food from supermarkets goes to where it will be appreciated, instead of to landfill.
Surplus food is offered at a greatly discounted £3 a bag. There are not yet many outlets in Cornwall, but all the branches of Morrisons regularly offer food at the moment.
Businesses which have surplus food at the end of the day (bakeries, supermarkets, hospitality industry) are invited to join in, and people who need food can download the app to be notified when their local suppliers have availability. You can download it from your favourite app store, and find out more on the Too Good To Go website.
Job adverts website for charities
We have recently come across a new place to advertise charity jobs – GoodJobs, which offers unlimited job adverts from £120 per year for small charities.
GoodJobs is a social enterprise, aiming to provide charities with a simple low-cost jobs board, to advertise and recruit fundraisers, while reducing the costs of advertising jobs for the charities. They are committed to improving the equality and diversity in the fundraising market, and some of their income will be used to support diversity, equality and inclusion in fundraising employment and training.
Visit the GoodJobs website for more information.
