A Balancing Act: New perspectives on the charity/beneficiary relationship
A new report from the Charity Commission reveals that one in four adults are ashamed about receiving charitable support. It also highlights how demand for charitable help exceeds supply. More than a third of the 2,000 organisations surveyed say that they cannot fulfill requests for help. In addition, 19% say they have been unable to get funding for new activities or people, and 16% state they cannot secure funding to maintain onging services or activities. http://www.charitycommission.gov.uk/Library/publications/pdfs/rs18text.pdf
